Janel Woodland is an award-winning storyteller with a diverse repertoire ranging from traditional stories to engaging and heartwarming personal narratives to hilarious original tall tales. She lives in southwest Ohio with her imaginary dog, Jeff, When she isn’t sharing stories at house concerts, festivals or on zoom, you can find her riding her bicycle or tromping in the woods.

Janel Woodland is an award-winning storyteller who currently calls the woods of southwest Ohio home. She has delighted storytelling festival audiences from New Hampshire to Florida and around the world via the magic of zoom. Janel draws upon her love of theater, music, and nature to create a unique story experience for her audience. Her stories are often humorous and always heartwarming. She specializes in ancient wisdom stories, tall tales, and personal stories of her blended family and her journey of self-discovery in the LGBTQ+ community.
